King Davis House Rockers - We All Make Mistakes Sometimes

In keeping to the funk, here's another rare selection, this was released under the Verve label in 1967, it's damned groovy. Once again, this is from a singles record, but this is the B-Side if my understanding of Verve's catalogue system is correct. The A-Side is Baby You Satisfy Me, once again, if my understanding of Verve's catalogue system is correct, I cannot find it for the life of me though. The King Davis House Rockers were one of the first names of the group, B.T. Express, who later went on to enjoy some modicum of fame starting in 1975, only to stop making music together in the mid 80's.

  1. Sounds like the soundtrack to a 70s blacksploitation movie.

  2. I can get into some old school funk, soul, R&B, whatever nomenclature you prefer. Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers, the Godfather himself.
